Bill Warren's Vision for Cedar Bluff

Roads and Infrastructure

Our residents deserve well-maintained, high-quality roads and infrastructure. This isn’t just a matter of convenience — it’s a matter of safety. Failing roads, bridges, and drainage systems can create serious, long-term problems for our community. That’s why, through a disciplined approach to budgeting and fiscal responsibility, my administration will develop a strategic plan to improve Cedar Bluff’s most critical infrastructure.

We’ll work closely with partners like the Cherokee County Commission, the Alabama Department of Transportation, and the U.S. Department of Transportation to identify funding sources, pursue grant opportunities, and collaborate on key projects that will strengthen our foundation for growth and improve the quality of life for all who call Cedar Bluff home.

A key part of that strategy includes supporting and properly managing our own Cedar Bluff Street Department. The work this team does each day — from repairing potholes and clearing roadways to maintaining drainage systems and responding during emergencies — is essential to both public safety and day-to-day life.

As mayor, I will work with the Town Council to ensure the Street Department is not only fully funded but also properly led, equipped, and supported. That means investing in updated machinery, establishing a long-term equipment replacement plan, offering professional development and safety training for staff, and ensuring strong communication between the department and town leadership. When the Street Department succeeds, the entire town benefits — with safer roads, faster emergency response times, and a cleaner, more reliable infrastructure network.

Infrastructure is the backbone of any growing community. Under my leadership, we won’t just patch problems — we’ll build a long-term vision for Cedar Bluff’s future, supported by strong teams and smart investments every step of the way.

Government Transparency

I believe the best government is an open government — because in my view, a government that isn't working for the people isn’t truly a government at all. In every leadership role I’ve held, I’ve made it a priority to be accessible, transparent, and accountable in both my decision-making and day-to-day management. That same commitment will guide my service as mayor.

Through both digital platforms and physical resources, we will take every necessary step to ensure that the citizens of Cedar Bluff have clear and easy access to public records, meeting recordings, and all relevant information regarding town operations. Transparency won’t be a buzzword — it will be the foundation of how we govern.

Additionally, I will regularly post video updates to our official Town of Cedar Bluff social media, providing firsthand insight into ongoing projects, policy decisions, and important developments in our town. I also plan to host routine town hall meetings, where residents can ask questions, voice concerns, and speak directly with their mayor. Your voice matters, and under my leadership, it will always be heard.

Public Safety

As a career firefighter and now a volunteer firefighter with the Town of Cedar Bluff, I have a deep appreciation for the dedication and sacrifice of our local first responders. I understand firsthand the challenges they face and the critical role they play in keeping our community safe. I’m committed to always standing with and fighting for those who protect us.

We’re fortunate to have dozens of hardworking individuals serving in our emergency services. Their commitment deserves more than just our gratitude. It deserves real support. As mayor, I will work with the Town Council to ensure our public safety departments are fully equipped, properly staffed, and supported with the resources they need to do their jobs effectively.

This includes pursuing funding for updated equipment, improving training opportunities, and ensuring competitive pay and benefits to retain top-tier talent. I will also prioritize strong communication and collaboration between our first responders and town leadership, so decisions are made with their insight and experience in mind.

Public safety is a partnership between the community and those who serve it. Under my leadership, that partnership will be stronger than ever.
